Trip to Houston

Well we had a really fun weekend visiting our best friends. we were there 5 days i think. they just moved into their bran new house. Cath and I went shopping, out to lunch, permed our hair, and did our nails while the boys went shooting. we had parties nonstop and even got in our traditional hours of Hearts and Spades! it was a great, relaxing, and much needed weekend!

Katie's birthday was really fun, we had the Bells over and my mother in law made Jambalaya, which is my... I'm mean Katie's favorite, then she made her a CUTE My little pony cake! i'm getting her into my little pony because that was my favorite thing when i was little. i had to go to our neighbor's house to play with hers because i didn't have any but still they were my favorite!

Another Trip to Louisiana

Well i thought i would give an update on our trip to Louisiana and stuff. we were just there a week ago but didn't get everything done so we went back. We've been working hard to fix up the house there so my in laws can sell it. its a big job but its getting done. we were there a week again. This time we got to spend more time with family though. I manly laid around and stamped stuffed and licked wedding invitations for my sister in law Elizabeth, she's getting married next month! We got to meet her fiance Dave, he's real neat! Daniel was able to squeeze in a couple job interviews there too. Daniel has been job hunting every spare minute he has but he really hasn't had time, we've been so busy since we've been here. 2 trips to Louisiana, each a week or more long, and one more to come, and then working around this house in Texas since everything seems to be breaking. when it rains it pours right? but we are thankful to be here (rent free) and Daniel has a few promising leads on jobs so things are looking good for the future. we are anxious to see what and where that future is and get on our own again soon! here are some pictures of the trip.

sorry, i guess you can't move pictures around anymore on here?

The kids with Aunt Elizabeth!!
Uncle Jeremy works at a t-shirt making place so they got the kids On the Half Shell shirts just like the waiters at my sister in law Elizabeth's restaurant she manages! so cute!!
Daddy's birthday was on the 1st so we celebrated at the Half Shell.
All of us celebrating Daddy's birthday.
Aunt Elizabeth Manages a sea food restaurant so we got to eat there a lot. YUMMY food! my favorite were the Oysters on the half shell (hence the name of the restaurant) and the catfish, also the steaks of course!!
he's really into making faces.

the kids making faces. so strange.
his scary face.
Wesley and daddy having a bottle war. i think Wesley won.
Katie wasn't the only one to receive gifts on her birthday! what spoiled kids! thanks Aunt Elizabeth!
This is the neighbor kid, they are 1 month apart and he towers over Wesley! they played A LOT thank you Miss Susan for taking him for SO many days! what a help!
this is where the kids ate since we had no furniture in the house.
Isn't she just the cutest little white trash girl you have ever seen?
Katie with her doggy that talks to her from Aunt Elizabeth! (she's obsessed with dogs, Horses, and alligators...strange group.) laughing.
Katie's birthday was on the 5th, we sort of half celebrated, the other half is coming soon. isn't she so cute with her dangly butterfly earrings from Aunt Rachel!
"I'm 2!"
Katie told me she was sad and she wouldn't look at the camera.
how cute they are!
For Katie's birthday Aunt Rachel and Uncle Jeremy took the kids to the zoo leaving me with a much needed break !

Katie's chocolate ice cream cake! chocolate lover like her mom!Banana trees, fresh bananas anyone?

Wesley was such a good brother and took Katie for rides. when they would get stuck in the grass he would get off and tell her to stay there and he would push them out and get back onto the road. it kinda reminded me of me and Daniel on one of our first dates, when we would get stuck he'd do the same thing! how cute!
Lots of work those boys did. only one picture but this is the reason we went, to work on the house they are trying to sell, the boys worked from sun up until sun down every day for a week!

A True Louisiana view of the Bayou and swamp.

So we stopped at this gas station on the way out of Louisiana and there was a Tiger!! (LSU tiger) it was crazy that this little gas station has been keeping tigers here for like 20 years or something. pretty neat! the kids loved him, i thought they would be scared (i was)!

Goodbye Louisiana for about a month when we go back for Aunt Elizabeth's wedding!! (that 10 hour trip is getting old!)
