So back in October I did a project- we got these cabinets from Aunt Bobbie and i had this crazy idea to paint them RED and put them in our kitchen! Well, its been done for a while i have just been waiting to get a top on it, which it still doesn't have but that's okay, some day... So here it is, i worked hard on it and Daniel didn't want anything to do with it because he wasn't very confident that red was the right color. His encouragement to me was, "don't worry, we can paint over it". Well, i have to say, surprising to all (especially Daniel... okay me too) it turned out pretty neat!! I LOVE it and Daniel does too and has since apologized for doubting me! :) It's okay because I did plenty of doubting myself!

Here;s what they looked like before- our poor neighbors, we had these sitting in our front lawn for a week!!

Here's the work in progress, it was long, first i had to clean them, then sand, then prime, then paint, then sand, then paint again, then sand off the edges, then stain! it took FOREVER with so many drawers and cupboard doors!!

And here is the finished product all decorated for Christmas!

FYI i am waiting to put candy in the candy dishes because i am on a diet! :)

So.... Remember this...

Well, i feel that it is time to come clean, and repent of my sins. Here is the real story behind this video:

So after the "man in the closet" scare that i did to Daniel, (if you haven't seen my scare fest video from this year you don't know what i am talking about so watch it first @ http://youtu.be/lJIVt3J6lSs ) Freddie, Daniel's brother, was talking trash, saying that i could never prank him. Of course i wanted to prove him wrong. So Daniel and I decided to scare Freddie and decided on scaring him with a mouse prank because he is VERY terrified of mice and so we set it all up.

Daniel would take Freddie to the store, and while they were gone I would set it all up in the garage. So they left, and while they were gone I made a mouse looking thing with steel wool (it looked pretty good too) and i attached string to it so that when you pull on the string it looks like its scurrying away to the corner of the garage. It was perfect! I put it under a tarp. NOTE: We actually HAVE mice in there so it was a bit uncomfortable digging around in there and setting up the string over and under and behind things in there but it was going to be WORTH IT to see Freddie scream like a little GIRL!

So i got it all set up, then i worked with the camera, set it up where he couldn't see it, got the setting just right, and all, then it was time. They got home and I gave "the nod" to Daniel to let him know it was all ready. So we went out to the garage pretending to look for a tool. Then Daniel nodded toward me and i nodded back and then told Freddie to look under the tarp, which was where the "mouse" was, and as he did i pulled the string and the "mouse" went scurrying and Freddie jumped and then, to my shock, started SHOOTING at it with a little tiny gun he had in his hand and I went to the ground because he was SHOOTING IN OUR GARAGE and it was SO loud and it SCARED THE HECK OUT OF ME and then he fell to the floor because he SHOT HIS FOOT!! I was freaking out!

Well. that was about the time that i looked at Daniel and realized that this was all a prank on ME!!! WHAT JERKS!!! I can't believe them!!! They had been planning this all along! Freddie knew about the mouse and that I was going to pull the string and that there would be a camera set up! The worst part was:

I DID EVERYTHING!!

I got dirty and close to a REAL mouse to set it all up

I made the steel wool mouse

I put it on the string

I set up the string to go all around the garage so it wouldn't look suspicious

I set up the camera,

I pulled the string!!

I did it all and

THEY got me!!!

SUCH JERKS!!! The bullets were blanks and he didn't really shoot his foot although i wish he had.

So I confess, I Tiffany Irene Dunn was prank'd by my evil husband and horrible brother in law!

Phew I feel so much weight lifted off my shoulder! (not really)

We had the BEST Halloween! It was FULL of fun!

DANG cute kids i have to say!

Wesley's costume was my fav. mostly because i made it! I actually didn't have to buy anything for anyone's costume- just the face paint that was $3! cheap Halloween!!

Katie was SO excited to wear this! It was Wes' old costume- she scares me.

This was also Wesley's old costume i made a few years ago- sooo cute!

Katie was freaky all night she was in character!!

I made Daniel do the carving because he has more artistic abilities than me!

We had a fire going in our outdoor stove while we carved, it was awesome!!

All about Tommy

I feel like posting about our little Tommy, he is growing SO much! He's now 6 1/2 months, and weighs 18 lbs. He is full on crawling now and goes EVERYWHERE! I have to put up gates because he is determined to chew through our cords in the office! (even though he doesn't have teeth yet) He is such a fun little boy, he has brought so much happiness to our family! The kids LOVE him and he loves them! He is always so happy. You can make him smile any time you want- even if he's crying at the moment!

The grass is actually what made him go from scooting to crawling! he didn't like the feel of it or something!

He loves his walker, especially when his big bro takes him for rides around the hardwood floors!

Tommy is SUCH a great sleeper! He goes to bed (after a little cuddle time) around 9 and wakes up around 8 in the morning! its awesome! Actually, Katie wakes up WAY more than he does!

And he's a hard sleeper! He has to be since i open his door at night and he's in Wesley's closet and Wesley talks in his sleep nightly!!

He loves his big brother and sister! he gets SO excited when he sees them! Especially in the morning when they come in and play with him!

Church is kinda getting hard because Tommy just wants to crawl.

He's such a cuddle baby! This was during the hurricane, we all slept in our room, Tommy was so good and slept better than anyone else that night!

Doesn't really like baths- he gets really scared, its cute!

He stands up to everything now but doesn't know how to get down so he either falls or gets lucky!

He loves playing in the stools, but gets stuck and cries!

This was funny, he fell backwards on Daniel's shoe and then just chilled there for like 20 minutes, i guess it was comfy!

Lately, about 30 min before he goes to bed for the night, Tommy cuddles with me. He just lays by me and doesn't move! it's way cute! i love my cuddle Tommy Time!!! :)

Katie ran into me and said "Tommy's body is under the bed!" it was cute! he's so curious now that he can crawl!

Now that he can stand in his bed we have had re-do bed time. We have to lay him on his back to sleep because he would just get right up and cry when i'd leave the room, but when he's on his back he's a bit more lazy or content or something!

He loves standing in his crib!

Katie: Yesterday it was a nice day so I told the kids they could play in the sprinklers, they were both really excited and Katie ran up to me and said, "Mommy, yesterday, when you put me in bed for being noddy I said in my bed TWO TIMES that i didn't want to live with you anymore, but NOW I DO want to live with you!"

Wesley: Daniel overheard Wesley in the bathroom saying, "dang it, 40 pounds still? MAN!" He was on the scale. oops! maybe i'm sending a bad message when i weigh myself every day and have that reaction!!

Katie: "Mommy, Tommy is trying to put his drool on me!"

Wesley: Wesley was scared of some aliens on a show we watched so to make him feel better i told him that Daniel and I were actually aliens too. He started crying and when i went to comfort him he screamed and ran away!! It took me all night to convince him that we weren't really aliens, and even then he was hesitant to come near us.

Katie: "Mommy, look at my arms, I am brown, i guess i can't live with you anymore because I'm brown and you are white!" (??)

Wesley: "I had the scariest dream, I don't even want to talk about it! (finally i get him to tell me) I had a dream that i fell in the TOILET!!"

Katie: Lately Daniel has been getting on her because she gets out of bed like 4 times to go the bathroom before she falls asleep, (and has to come tell us every time) so finally Daniel told her not to come tell us when she's going to the bathroom, but to just do it and get back in bed. So a few days later we see her up and Daniel says, "Katie, what are you doing?" she said, "i'm doing something." and we were like, "what are you doing?" and she said, "i'm going somewhere" and we were getting irritated, and were like, "WHERE are you going???" and she said, "I'm going to sit on the toilet and do something." Then I started laughing, and said to Daniel, "you told her not to tell us when she was going to the bathroom!"

Katie: So Daniel is always complimenting me,(especially now that i'm on a diet and working out, to encourage me) and the kids have picked up on it too, so THEY always compliment me (awesome) so what i hear on a daily (sometimes 5 times daily) basis, from Wesley and Katie are these strings of compliments, "Mommy, you look pretty, AND, gorgeous AND hot!" (ha) and the latest since i've been working out is "AND your stomach is getting smaller!" It's sweet but i really hope they never say it in public!
So yesterday i tried this new lotion, so Wesley says, "mommy you smell pretty" i said thank you and then Katie says, " Mommy, you smell pretty AND you smell gorgeous, AND you smell hot, A N D you smell like your stomach is getting smaller!!" ha! she was SO proud of herself!

Family Night

So for family night we talked about Lehi's dream of the tree of life, and the kids were really interested in it, so our activity was actually doing it, getting to the tree- it was fun, Daniel first told them the story

These are the obstacles in the way (we decided to do this 5 min before hand so it wasn't the greatest)

4th of July weekend

We had a fun 4th of july weekend with just our little family. During the day we sat in the kid's pool with them and enjoyed the water, also we worked around the yard and stuff. In the evening

we did smoores on our deck with our outdoor fireplace. it was awesome!

Smoooores and scary stories!!! The kids came up with some...interesting Ghost stories and Daniel told Goldie locks and Red riding hood and finished off the night with Hansel and Grettle, never knew how scary those stories could be until the kids were wrapped around each of Daniel's legs and wouldn't let go!

Tommy's first 4th of July! Only one firework scared him, the rest, he just watched!

Getting VERY dirty!!

Tommy has a certain kind of eczema that has been irritating
his skin so much! he scratched his head so much that it bled!
We took him to the doctor and are SO happy that the 2nd
creme we tried is working great! he doesn't scratch his head
anymore so we don't have to put socks on his hands when
he sleeps!
The only problem now is that he's got a lot of bald spots
where he scratched and pulled out his hair, i really hope
it grows back!! poor baby! He's 3 1/2 months old!!

STRANGER DANGER!

I was telling Wesley about 'Stranger Danger', and asked him, what he would do if someone he didn't know came up to him and said, "hey kid, i'll give you some candy if you get in my car".
Wesley just looked at me with an 'its so obvious' look on his face and said, "Of course I would get in the car."
YIKES!!!

I then spent 2 hours teaching him about Strangers and what NOT to do!

After it all he came up and said, "mommy, tell the TRUTH, did you steal me away from my REAL mommy when i was a baby and I can't remember?"

- I had to pull out the photo album of his birth to convince him... even then he was pretty skeptical. My poor confused little boy! And what a bad mom to not have taught him earlier in life about strangers?!?!! Oops!

Daniel's birthday is tomorrow and I thought i would share why I like him so much! I know, I know, cheesy right? who cares, this is going into my journal for our kids to read, so they know how much we love each other.

Daniel is a MAN's man! I LOVE that he is rough and tough and likes guns, and shooting, and wrestling, and all outdoor stuff. He likes to work hard, and I LOVE to watch him work! I am so proud of that!

Daniel can sing with the most powerful, deep, beautiful voice! I love that he sings to me when I beg!

Daniel thinks i'm funny. You know how growing up, you would say something funny, and your brothers instead would try to make you feel dumb for saying it, instead of laugh? (no? is that just me they did that to??) Well, Daniel DOESN'T do that! I am so happy that he genuinely thinks I am funny, and laughs at all my silly comments and jokes! He even told me when we were dating that I was the first girl that could actually make him laugh for real!

When Daniel does impersonations it's really funny! He makes everyone laugh!

I love that Daniel has picked up volleyball, because he knows how much I love it. I love playing with him. I

love that we work together and play together!

Daniel is proud of me. It feels so good when i overhear Daniel bragging about me to other people. I love that he doesn't withhold compliments from me!

Daniel honors his Priesthood. I feel so proud of him when he leads our family, gets us to do what we're supposed to do, and goes to his meetings and offers service.

I love shooting with Daniel. I love that he would rather go shooting with me than anyone else in the world, even though i'm a girl, and when i out shoot him, he doesn't have that hurt male pride thing going, instead he's grinning from ear to ear.

I love that Daniel is a Southern Boy! It's hot! :)

Daniels is a good cook! I am so glad for that, because i'm not the best cook in the world!

Daniel humors me....(see picture)......

Daniel compliments me. One of my favorite things he does (because i'm vain) is compliment me. When we're in public and he thinks i look nice or i do something he thinks is impressive he catches my eye and winks at me, or gives me a smile that says, "i'm going to tell you just how awesome i think you are, later" and when later comes he does just that!

Daniel LOVES me. His idea of a perfect time is just him and me together, somewhere, anywhere. I love that we still flirt with each other! I hope that never stops!

Daniel is a great father. He is ALWAYS playing with the kids, in fact sometimes i have to make them go play in their rooms just so i can have a little time with him. But if they disrespect their mother, they are in for it! The kids LOVE their daddy and he is proud of them!

Daniel is a hard worker. He works hard at his job and when he's home, he doesn't just sit around. He's always in his garage building something for me, or mowing the 1 acre yard with a push mower and doing the 'honey do' list. I love that he keeps his mind from being idle!

I love that he makes me believe that I'm the most beautiful girl in the world. Now I know that there are much more beautiful women out there, but Daniel would never allow me to FEEL like there are more beautiful women out there!

I love that Daniel does not burp! He actually CANNOT burp, but even if he could, he wouldn't do it around me, or other gross things.

I love that Daniel knows how to treat women. He's very respectful, and knows when to just keep his mouth shut and knows not to ask any questions when i come crying to him about stupid things. he just comforts.

Okay, I could REALLY go on and on but most people have probably stopped reading by now all this mushy stuff, but I LOVE DANIEL!! I cannot imagine a world without him, and i am SO glad that I don't have to! Because I know we are sealed in the temple for time and all eternity and that is the biggest thing i'm grateful to Daniel for, he is a good, righteous, honest person and i am excited that we have all of eternity to be together because to have him for only this life wouldn't be nearly enough!

So Wesley and Katie did their chores all week so they each got to do something special.

I know what you are thinking, what does mom do around the house, well, isn't that why we have kids?? isn't it??

Wesley chose to play our new Wii, with Daddy, he got to play for a whole hour, he was so excited!

Katie wanted to have a girl party and paint nails, do hair and makeup and dress up. It was really fun! And i just have to say that I have the most beautiful little BLONDE in the whole world!! (and very photogenic) this first pic is my favorite! I need to send it in somewhere i think.

THIS IS KATIE

She has beautiful blond hair, dark blue eyes, and red lips. She's beautiful!

BUT she wants to be a red head. All the rest of us have red hair! Even little Tommy. This really bothers her. When she plays she always says, "pretend I have red hair".

Little does she know that i wished on every star in the sky that i would have at least 1 kid WITHOUT red hair and freckles! (Okay Daniel doesn't really have red hair, but he did when he was little)

It doesn't help when her favorite Disney Princess is Ariel!

I have tried to tell her how beautiful she is with her blond hair but

She doesn't believe me...

Last night I actually caught her trying to color her hair red with a colored pencil!!

Brainless after Birth

Am I the only one who goes a wee bit coo coo after having a baby?? I can't seem to Organize my thoughts, I start doing something then leave the room and 2 days later I remember. I can't even get things down on a list, that's how scatter-brained I am!

Here are some things I've done lately:

-Put clothes in the washing machine. 4 days later i wash them again because i never put them in the dryer.

-Went to the store and didn't get ANYTHING i needed.

-Put Tommy down for a nap, 30 minutes later realize i never turned on the baby monitor and who knows how long he's been crying (yikes!)

-Forget about making dinner EVERY NIGHT!

-Forget to make Daniel's lunch every day!

-Forget to feed my kids. we don't eat lunch most days.

-Make toast for myself, find them at dinnertime still in the toaster.

-Start telling a story and then ...

-I have 20 glasses filled with water in my house because I fill one up then forget where i put it.

-Start making cookies, get distracted, 2 hours later cookie dough still sitting there halfway done.

-Turn on the water to take a shower, 30 minutes later the shower is still running and I haven't gotten in.

-The most recent one though, and it's a 2 in 1. I wanted to melt my cheese on my sandwich so i decided to put it in the oven for a second... you can guess what happened, i forgot about it, but the worst part was I put it on a plastic plate!?!!

6 weeks!

6 WEEKS!! I can't believe it! I love this little guy!

Tommy has been smiling (finally) for about a week now, he's also getting HUGE!! i think he's 12 pounds already and is such a good baby and we have finally mastered nursing!! (knock on wood) boy did i have some problems there! BUT 2 breast infections and hours and hours of pumping- later, we are on nursing again and its SO nice not to be tied down so much! This was our schedule before: nurse, then pump, THEN feed him the bottle. Every 3-4 hours! It was horrible! Neither of my other kids were a challenge when it came to nursing! What was the DEAL?? But this little guy is a trooper! He was SUCH a good sport about going from bottle, to nipple shield, to breast, and back and forth! Not to mention he sleeps like 9 hours a night! AWESOME!! now someone just tell my other kids to stop waking me up at night!!

DRAMA at the Doctor

Wesley Dunn

So we took Wes to get his physical and shots and the physical went really well, i was proud of Wesley being so good when the doctor was doing strange (to him) things! When we got his hearing done we were pretty concerned (the nurse and i) She told him to raise his hand when he heard a beep. There were 4 beeps but he could only hear 1! She tried each ear 4 times to make sure, he just said that there was no beep! So she listened to it herself and she could hear the beeps! I was REALLY worried then! So she said to Wesley that some weren't beeps but some sounded like boop and bop, and he said, "Oh i heard those!" HA! so we did it one more time and he raised his hand for every one of them!! The nurse and I both sighed with relief! That kid played an April fools joke on us and didn't even know it!

Also, Wesley has to see an eye doctor because he couldn't see the letters out of one eye, but could read them with the other. My poor little red head, freckle face boy might need to have GLASSES!!! oh what will that do to him! ha!

As for the shots OH.... MY....GOODNESS!!! I prepared him and everything, he was SO good about it all, he was going to be brave, he wasn't going to cry, he was SO determined! Well, when she did the first shot (of 4) he SCREAMED!!! it was horrible and then he was completely hysterical and UNREACHABLE!! i couldn't calm him down so we just did them fast and each time he would just get worse and worse! We had to hold him down, and he just screamed and yelled NO NO NO!!! i have NEVER heard him be like that! he was crazy!!! he tensed up pretty badly too so he's extremely sore today! but the nurse left and it took me 5 whole minutes to make him even strop SCREAMING! I couldn't even get him to LOOK at me! Finally what calmed him down was me saying that there were kids in the waiting room about to get shots and he was scaring them! So finally he calmed down enough to leave the room, in the waiting room here's what we saw: laughing dads, sympathizing moms, and HORRIFIED children!! It was seriously such a horrible experience! i'm just SO glad i didn't have Katie there witnessing it because she has a lot of shots she has to get soon!!!

So I best be catching up... Tommy was blessed in our Branch when he was a week old. It was a very special thing. My mom was able to be there, and 2 hours later was on the plane back home! Daniel's dad and brother Freddie came too (and Will). It meant so much to us to have family here to share this occasion! Those that stood in the circle were Daniel, Daddy, Freddie, Pres. McNeil, and Brother Little. I just have to say that Daniel gave him the most beautiful blessing I have ever heard! It was just perfect, and then turned around and gave a very touching testimony about forever families. I love our family, especially the new addition!

Baby Room Complete... now where's the baby??

So we converted Wesley's closet into the nursery and i think it looks pretty good! His closet is way too big for him to use and i think it's the perfect size for a baby!

So first i moved the hanging rod things and put one down low for Wesley to hang all his shirts, its nice that his shirts stay unwrinkled and he tends to take better care of them! The top is for the baby's clothes.

Then i painted the room a tan/light brown color which looks pretty good, then we put in all the baby stuff!

I finally found these wall stickers that match the bedding! Thank you Target! They are a little bigger than i thought they were but that's okay, we had room!

Daniel hung the shelf that my sister Julie made me when i was little, it is going to be so nice to have diapers and wipes right there to use, now i just need to get a changing table pad!

Just an update, I am now 5 days from my due date and not progressing very quickly... I feel contractions but not anything consistent, so cross your fingers for me that this baby will come SOOOON!!! (like tomorrow would be nice!)

I had a great Birthday! The kids were Sooooo nice to me! They spent the first half of the day drawing pictures for me and the second half making me a cake! That night was our Branch Valentine Party so we went to that! It was fun! I was having contractions all day, which was kinda a nice present from the baby! Daniel brought home a cake (oops) a movie, and ice cream! it was awesome!!

So we finally got our new couches and chair!! Just in time for my birthday!!! I LOVE them!! it changes our whole house, along with the painting! We also got a new table and fridge too! So here's the before pictures of the living room...

I never blogged about my very best friend Catherine Rawson coming to visit! Well, for her birthday present her awesome husband bought her a plane ticket to see me!! We were both SO excited!! The kids LOVED this baby, it made me so happy to see how good they were with Sawyer, nothing like practicing on someone elses kid!

Cath and I did a FEW projects while she was here. If you don't know, she is amazing at EVERY SINGLE THING she does, what I USED her for when she was here was my interior designer, (she helped me pick out the color for my living room that you'll see pictures of soon and she drew pics of every room to help me put it together more) photographing my children, drawing pictures on my kids walls, talking down the furniture guy to get me a great deal on my new couches, helping me convince Daniel that in NEEDED new couches, getting a metal ring that was STUCK on Wesley's finger off with pliars, helping us figure out how the &^*& our new fridge would fit in the spot it was supposed to, oh and did i mention, hours and hours of therapy!!! (and lots more)

So I am now 8 months along! YAY! My Branch threw me a baby shower (even though this is my second boy) I was so flattered! These women were SO sweet and generous- and they don't even know me! I felt so loved! As I opened the gifts I would read the name of who it was and they would have to raise their hand to show me who they were- THAT'S how much we don't know each other! It was so sweet though and for only 12 people there, i got quite the LOOT!! I love this Branch family that we've been adopted into!!

We celebrated the new year at our house at 9pm with the kids, had a count down and watched a movie, had goodies, and a great party, then sent them to bed while Daniel and I had a real new year party with just the 2 of us watching movies all night until the new year hit! Merry Christmas from the Dunns

As we come to a close in 2010, we hope to find all of you happy and healthy. What a great year it has been for us. We have been greatly blessed this year with so many things. One of the major highlights of our year was buying our very first home here in Maryland. We live in the country on one acre and just LOVE it! It has been such an adventure coming out here into new territory for us and we have enjoyed all the new aspects of east coast life. We are enjoying, and getting to know the people in our small branch, and have felt very loved and welcomed here. We have the opportunity to have some of Daniel's family come to our home for Christmas this year, and are excited for all the fun festivities!

About us:

Wesley is going to turn 5 in March and is so excited to be going to kindergarten this coming year. He thinks he is so old, and loves to boss Katie around and is very good at coaxing her into doing boy activities and making them sound fun for a girl. He is also very excited to have a baby brother to wrestle, and share a room with. His favorite things are playing outside in our new backyard, wrestling with daddy, and doing big kid chores. He is a very big help around the house.

Katie, 3 years old, is our little princess. She has just recently become obsessed with everything girly. She loves playing dolls and barbies. She loves her older brother and is very good at manipulating him into doing whatever she wants. She is a good little girl, and loves to be independent. She asks every day if the baby will come today, she cannot wait to take care of him.

I am doing great, and so happy to be in my own home. I am due in February, with our 3rd child. I have been keeping busy with the holidays, pregnancy, projects, and especially another highlight of our year, going home to Idaho for 3 weeks over Thanksgiving. It had been 18 months since I had been home. Though, we love our east coast life, we missed all our family and friends, and loved spending time with them. I also enjoyed being pampered by my parents, while I stayed with them. Wesley and Katie got completely spoiled with grandpa and grandma, aunts and uncles, and so many cousins to play with.

Daniel is getting settled in his new position as Branch Manager of Goodman Distribution, where they distribute heating and air conditioning units and parts. In his spare time he likes to play with the kids, a nice break for me, organize his new garage, fix up and research guns, and do many chores for his bossy, pregnant wife. Daniel was able to come to Idaho 1 of the 3 weeks, and enjoyed time away from responsibility. He also had fun with my family, and especially hunting with his brothers in law. Daniel was also able to take a trip to see his family in Texas with his brother, Freddie. They drove about 55 hours round trip in one weekend to see their brother in law Jeremy be baptized into the Church, which was an exciting event for the Dunn family.

Through this holiday season, we have enjoyed reflecting on the birth and life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We feel so grateful to be a part of this great gospel of him who was born to be the Savior of the world. Merry Christmas! We love you all!

This is my angel niece Mariah, she was born with lots of problems, and now she has a big huge cast poor girl. She's just older than Wesley. Wesley and Katie just loved her. Okay I FINALLY added pictures of our house, the downstairs anyway, even though i'm not totally done unpacking and I'm halfway through decorating for Christmas, this is the downstairs...

First i had to show my pretty table! i love the flowers (dollar store) and table cloth/napkins (Goodwill) and of course my China from last Christmas!

This is the living room, the rug is new and we LOVE it! i especially love not sweeping such a huge area!! The furniture fits better than we thought it would, we still plan on getting new stuff...eventually...

directly behind the couch is my nice kitchen with good bar space, you could fit 6 people at it! There's a good size walkway behind the couch, you can't tell here though. To the right is the breakfast area.

So I guess its about time to update, Daniel got a promotion at work and is now the Branch Manager to an HVAC company in Maryland. He is enjoying it, but also very stressed out about doing a good job. We moved here in August and have been living in a hotel since then, searching for a house and finally, in 3 days will be moving in!! we are REALLY excited to get out of this hotel and into our very first home on 1 acre. It has been a rough life, living here, with 2 kids that only want to run around, and a mother that is pregnant and has had morning sickness. My morning sickness is finally gone now but i've had other problems like the flu twice, a cold that has lasted a month, hives, issues with spotting and baby stuff. Wesley and Katie have each gotten the flu too, not too fun but i think we're all on the recovery! We did just find out that we'll be having a baby BOY in February!! so so excited for that! There are so many new things in our life right now! I haven't been able to add any pictures since we're just using our lap top but as soon as we move in and get our computer up and running i'll post some pic. I do have a picture of our new house though, we love it and feel so blessed to have found it after so much house hunting!

So I'm a slacker! It's been too long! There have been a lot of things going on since i last blogged. like Daniel turning 27!! he's so old!!! Daniel's parents came into town for Memorial day! what fun we had! we went to the Amish market and there we ran into my first cousin Oliver!! it was crazy! AND to make it even more crazy, we were staying with Daniel's aunt all weekend and went to church at a random ward there in Maryland and it was that same cousin's ward!! along with another cousin and his family and ANOTHER was visiting!! so i got to see a lot of my cousins and their families! it was so great!!!We had another birthday party for Daniel, of course, Daniel's mom would never pass up the opportunity to have a party!!

Aunt Bobbie lives RIGHT on the Potomac River so we went swimming and fishing and canoeing and had a traditional Hennings family cookout! This just made me laugh, do you see the similarities? Of course a grandmommy visit always includes gifts!

Here's to 5 years of marriage! I love you Daniel! I'm SO glad we found each other and fell for each other SO fast and never looked back!

So for our 5 year anniversary we went on a paddle boat ride! it was really fun but SO windy!! we pretty much just let the wind take us wherever it wanted. it was still fun though, we couldn't get a babysitter so we just made it a fun family day at Crockett park. We also played some volleyball, and had a picnic!

Easter pictures, what a mean mom i am for making Wesley take pictures when he was so sick!! oh well, he was a good sport! i had just cut Katie's hair too, it looks MUCH better than the mullet she was sporting!

We had a fun weekend of camping with Freddie and Dusti!the kids especially had a blast with their cousins!

They roasted. I had the "putting the mellow on the stick" duty and had given out almost the whole back before i realized all the kids were just letting me put them on their sticks and then eating them. they didn't know about the whole "roasting over the fire" part. We had a really cool camp spot with a lot of woods for the kids to play in, the boys especially LOVED it!

The food was AWESOME! breakfast was eggs, bacon, grits, and biskits YUM!

THIS was my favorite part of camping, watching Daniel chop wood! :)

Wesley's little tent was a big hit. It was so cute, we actually let wesley and katie sleep in it for half the night at least! We gave them each a flashlight of their very own and they used them as nightlights, it was fun watching from outside the tent the lights going all over and then slowing down and down and down until they didn't move, that's how we knew they were asleep. It was pretty cold the first night so we moved them into our tent, but come summer, they are on their own!!

We went to George Washington's birthplace since it was 10 minutes from the campground, it was really neat.

Then we went out to some land that daniel's family owns and saw daniel's great Aunt Lee, she gave the kids presents, they loved her! Wesley with his great great aunt!

I have been pretty bad at blogging lately. Here's what we've been up to. My neighbor Brittany had her baby, she's SUCH a cutie and makes me SO baby hungry! UH OH!

Katie made BIG progress at the library today. She is SO shy that she usually doesn't play when we go anywhere, she just sits on my lap, or walks around me, but today at the library she actually sat with Wesley and Ethan in the story time group! i was so proud of her and she kept looking back at me to make sure i saw her being so brave! (yes i did coax her with a gum ball) The made these hats at the library.

Yes, the 11th i celebrated my 26th birthday!! Now when you round, I round to 30!! Yikes! I had a great birthday! The kids, especially Wesley, LOVES birthdays! He woke up in the morning and came to sleep with me, then, realizing it was my birthday he jumped up and said, "Its your birthday!!" and started singing and telling me how much he loved me! The rest of the day was spent opening their "presents" to me, which was every toy they own wrapped in blankets! It was really cute the first 100 toys. After that I told them we had to wait for daddy to get home to open any more. Our good friends and neighbors volunteered to babysit for us so we could go out to dinner, just the 2 of us! So we went to Ruby Tuesday, it was our first time there, its going to be a new favorite i think. After dinner we went shopping for my birthday present. Although i couldn't decide, it was a very fun time for Daniel and I to just enjoy. Katie didn't even cry when we were gone! (of course happy meals do help-thank you Brittany!)

On Saturday Freddie and Dusti came to celebrate! My cake was SOOO yummy! My favorite, Raspberry with Chocolate frosting!! YUM! I got to talk to a lot of my friends and family on my birthday! I missed not seeing them!

So my sister and brother in law came for her birthday! it was REALLY fun! We headed to DC blizzard or no blizzard (as luck would have it, BLIZZARD) We rode the metro most of the way there so we avoided slippery roads!You have to look REALLY close to see the Washington Monument! We made out way, through the huge blizzard just to see the White house, then we could barely make it out because of the snow! i had to do some editing on this picture to even make it show up!! it was worth it though!

So SOMEBODY forgot their hat, who forgets a hat in a blizzard? i'm not going to name names, but it starts with a D and ends in a ANIEL. So i, being the saint that i am, gave him mine and wrapped Julie's scarf around my head. it wasn't too bad, if only it would stay on!! later, MUCH later, we realized that i had a hood on my coat the whole time! oops!!!

2 questions: What is this? and why wasn't it in Jurassic Park?? SCARY!!!

The Air and Space museum was our favorite! Of course, we didn't see a TON because of the snow. At first we were fearless, but once we went inside once, it was torture going back out!

3 person seat, and having it be 110 degrees in the tiny "air plane" and getting motion sickness!

Daniel made jambalaya for the first time! it was YUMMY!! I love my Southern boy!Me and my good friend and neighbor Brittany took the boys to Dairy Queen, it was fun, but WILD! NextOur kids love Toy Story!! WooHoo for Toy Story 3!!Ridin bikes Wesley loves to try to fix his own hair!I babysit 4 times a week now, this is Kippy, i watch her and her sister that's 4. quite the houseful!Great News! Daniel and I found somewhere to go shooting!! Daniel is SO happy!Me and Brittany

Well, over the holidays I potty trained Katie, it was SURPRISINGLY very easy! i have to say i'm proud of my little girl! It only took a week to do it too! about 4 days and she didn't have accidents during the day, and then 3 more days she could go all night! and now its been 2 weeks since her last accident (excluding last night when we had friends over and she didn't make it to the toilet quite in time) that's pretty understandable, it was 11 at night! So she ONLY wears a diaper to nursery, we aren't sure if she will tell the teacher, since she's really shy, but in 3 weeks her diaper has been dry! Good girl Katie! so proud of you! 2 years and 4 months old.

By the way, all you moms that look forward to just having them wear night gowns and dresses while potty training, so you don't have to deal with pants... think again!! This happens, and the dress gets wet in the toilet, or she goes ON the dress. it doesn't work very well. sorry!

Growing up, our family always played out the Nativity, so we did it this year! The kids were SO cute and did such a good job, and so did Daniel, reading it!

Another tradition, cookies for Santa! the kids really liked that!Opening one gift! Thank you secret santa!RIGHT after we put the kids in bed we heard a fire truck RIGHT outside our door and i went out and yes, SANTA was there passing out Candy Canes! So we RAN and got the kids up and they got to see Santa on Christmas eve!!
